FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What do we do?

We offer authorized user tradelines to enhance an individual's personal credit profile.

What is an Authorized User tradeline?

An Authorized User (AU) is a person who is added to a primary account holder’s credit account. Once added, the credit card issuer reports the account information (tradeline) to the credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) under the Authorized User’s credit profile. The account’s history appears on the Authorized User’s credit report. The primary account holder’s positive history will improve the Authorized User’s credit score. Authorized Users are not legally responsible for the debt on the account, which means they cannot be pursued for repayment.

What is the process?

In essence, when a credit card holder with a flawless payment history adds you to their card, you receive the benefit of their perfect credit history reflected on your credit report. While you do not receive a physical card to use, this arrangement typically remains active for 60-90 days, unless specified otherwise. All cards have a utilization rate of 15% or less.

During the period when the cards are active on your credit report, it is advisable to have a clear blueprint or plan outlining your financial goals for that duration.

How is the information protected?

Confidentiality is crucial for both our cardholders and clients. We collaborate with various attorneys and local law enforcement agencies to ensure protection and implement precautionary measures. We employ software to verify all information provided to us when adding clients to cards. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards individuals attempting to misuse our services for fraudulent purposes.

What makes our company different than other Tradeline Companies?

We offer affordability and reliability, serving numerous individuals across the country. We recognize that our clients face credit challenges, financial difficulties, and aspire to progress in life.

What happens if a tradeline doesn't report? When do I get a refund?
If a tradeline fails to report within the specified time frame mentioned in the confirmation email, you must adhere to the non-posting instructions for us to provide further assistance. If a tradeline does not report by the seventh day after the statement date of the second billing cycle, we will issue a full refund for that tradeline. However, if you wait 60 days after your statement date to inform us that your line(s) did not report, you will not be eligible for a refund.

What happens after a Tradeline is closed?

Once a tradeline is "terminated" or "closed," it will continue to have a significant positive impact on your credit history and scores. Most tradelines remain on your reports indefinitely, or at least for many years. However, EKC Consultants, LLC cannot guarantee the exact duration for which they will appear on your credit reports.

Is it legal to buy Tradelines?

Adding authorized users to your account is completely legal, and many banks and lenders even encourage it. This practice is akin to adding a family member or friend to your card. However, some individuals lack the option of having a family member with good credit to assist them in advancing or overcoming financial hurdles. This is where our service becomes valuable. The distinction lies in our policy of not permitting clients to use the cards or have any interaction with the cardholders. Cardholders are compensated for their participation, creating a win-win s

Are there any Tradelines that you DON'T sell?

Primary Tradelines: We do not sell primary tradelines. The ability to purchase authorized user tradelines exists due to specific legal provisions requiring lenders to consider them. This regulatory framework has enabled the practice of piggybacking credit. However, there is no equivalent legal basis for primary tradelines, which means you cannot be added to a primary account with backdated history in the same manner as seasoned authorized user tradelines.

Mortgage Tradelines: Mortgage tradelines are exclusively primary tradelines, and there is no provision for authorized user status on mortgage accounts. Even if such an option existed (which it does not), it would significantly impair your purchasing power and negatively impact your ability to secure credit in the future.

Auto Tradelines: Similar to mortgage tradelines, auto tradelines are primary tradelines and cannot be purchased legally. Acquiring these would burden your credit report with additional debt, thereby harming your credit profile rather than improving it.

Tradelines for Business Credit: Business credit accounts operate on a different credit reporting system (Dun & Bradstreet) and utilize a different credit score (Paydex). Among the few business lines of credit that accept authorized users, the accounts typically only report to the primary account holder's credit report.

How much of an impact will it have on my credit score?

Every individual's credit profile is distinct. Some may possess a high score but struggle with high utilization, while others might have numerous negative items or excessive inquiries. There are also individuals with minimal credit history, lacking even a score.

Tradelines can be an ideal addition for those with bad or fair credit, minimal negative items, little to no credit, or currently good credit. However, if you have a substantial number of collections, inquiries, or late payments, it's advisable to undergo credit repair before considering tradelines. For those currently undergoing credit repair, we strongly advise waiting until the process is complete before adding tradelines to achieve optimal results.

Negative accounts such as derogatory marks, charge-offs, and late payments significantly diminish the potential benefits that tradelines can offer.

How long do your tradelines report?

Our tradelines are active for 60 days by default. However, we also offer cards with 90-day terms, and we provide custom pricing for longer terms. If you initially purchase a 60 or 90-day term tradeline and find that you require more time, we can extend your term at a reduced price.

Do American Express cards backdate?

No, they do not. Clients

to any of our American Express cards (excluding certain store cards banked through American Express) DO NOT HAVE HISTORY REPORTED. Many clients who purchase these cards combine them with other tradelines that have a good age. This way, you get a mix of age and credit limit.

Do the tradelines report to all three bureaus?

Due to the brief period during which these tradelines are active on your credit report, they usually report to a minimum of two credit bureaus.

Do you provide consultations?

Certainly. If you're considering purchasing a tradeline but are unsure which one to choose or would like to determine if you're a suitable candidate, feel free to email us at: info@ekcconsultants.com
